For over a century Feudo Disisa has belonged to the Di Lorenzo family. Love and respect for the land – passed down from father to son – remain vivid and intact, today more than ever, thanks to the commitment of five generations of winemakers.
A history spanning over eight centuries that saw the peoples of the Mediterranean and northern Europe – Carthaginians, Romans, Arabs and Normans – meet, clash, seek to conquer each other, exchange cultures and traditions that could captivate the imagination of a great novelist. Located near the vineyards, precisely to minimize the stress of the freshly harvested grapes during transport for delivery to the presses, the winemaking cellar – designed by Renato Di Lorenzo – has seen over 150 harvests: an immense heritage to be preserved for future generations. Feudo Disisa has always embraced the “strategic” choice of combining native vines with international varietals, confident in the knowledge that a truly distinctive terroir always plays a crucial part in defining the varietal expression of each vine. A viticultural kaleidoscope of absolute interest, setting a high standard for the entire Monreale DOC.
